Cavan Adventure Centre Achieves Step 2 in Sustainable Tourism Journey

Our sustainability efforts isn’t something we shout about too much but something we’re very proud of.
At Cavan Adventure Centre, we believe that adventure and environmental responsibility go hand in hand. We’re delighted to share that we’ve officially achieved Step 2 – the Energy & Carbon Award in the 6-step journey with the Sustainable Tourism Network, a milestone made possible through funding from the CE4RT project facilitated by MTU – and we’re incredibly grateful for this support.
Achieving this badge is a step forward – but it’s not the finish line. It’s a marker on a path we’re passionately walking, where every choice is made with people and planet in mind. From improving how we heat our buildings and power our activities, to exploring even more nature-based solutions for our next steps, we’re committed to leading by example.
Whether it’s picking up litter along the lake or inviting visitors to experience the beauty of our environment in ways that leave no trace – we want to be a place where people reconnect with nature and help protect it.
Thank you to everyone who’s supported us on this journey so far. And stay tuned – we’ve only just begun.
