Cavan Adventure Centre is proud to be part of Ireland’s Sustainable Tourism Network. Sustainable Tourism Network, or STN, is Ireland’s leading and longest-running body for the promotion and support of sustainable tourism. STN is dedicated to inspiring, supporting and promoting sustainable and regenerative tourism and we are very excited to be working alongside them to make our business more sustainable than ever.

Our membership

As members of STN, we are already reaping many benefits such as the chance to forge connections with other sustainable businesses in Ireland. By making these links, we can learn from the experts as we hear more about their wins and experiences with sustainable practices. STN also helps us adopt more sustainable approaches to our business practices. We recently attended the Inspiring Sustainable Tourism conference in Galway and learned so much including practical advice and ideas that we can now implement and share.

Working towards sustainability, from our perspective, is a no brainer. It’s simply the right thing to do. Globally, studies show that tourism accounts for 8-11% of greenhouse gas emissions. Luckily for us, we are already a highly sustainable business in our practices and approach but we believe there is always room for improvement and it is our responsibility to continue our sustainability work both to benefit our business, the local and global environment and to educate others.

We are passionate about sustainability and conservation so we are very excited to continue this journey with Sustainable Tourism Network. Without a healthy planet, we can’t have a healthy business. We’re so fortunate to be located in one of the most beautiful places in Ireland and we want to make sure we protect it for future generations.
